10:20am Thursday 2nd February 2012

Romsey Town Council wants to hear from local organisations planning events for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Town clerk, Judith Giles, said: “I am hopeful there will be many events taking place in the town to celebrate this great occasion. To ensure a clash does not occur, could you please let me know if you or your organisation are planning an event, as I would like to set up a diary of events which will be available on the Romsey Town Council website and also at the Town Hall.”

Send Judith your events by e-mail to townclerk@romseytc.org.uk Community groups wishing to close a road for a street party should apply to Test Valley Borough Council by April 20. There is no charge for the administration of temporary road closures for this event. Application forms are available from engineering@testvalley.gov.uk, or by phoning 01264 368723.
